May is graduation month for many families and that goes double for the Bakkers. On May 8th my wife Christy and other members of our family will be present to watch our son Josh walk across the stage at the University of Dubuque, while my daughter April and I will be in Santa Barbara to watch our daughter Amanda walk across the stage at Westmont College (my alma mater). Following these graduations comes graduate school and eventually … a job. The prospect of a job brings to mind the question of calling and vocation.

Greetings in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Last Spring the leaders of Faith Presbyterian Church gathered for an important time of prayer and planning at the Heartland Lodge. Our time together was led by the Rev. Andy Curtis, the Mission Mobilizer for the New Wineskins EPC Presbytery. Our purpose for being together was to create a Five-Year Plan for our congregation which would establish specific measurable goals under our desire to be a missional church.
